First Fruits

Service in-person or via YouTube

In many pagan traditions, the late summer holy day is an early harvest festival, honoring the early fruits and grains that are ripening now. The first loaves of bread, the first berries, these things mark the return of plenty, even as labor continues for future harvests. In a faith tradition that focuses so strongly on the mind and heart, let us celebrate our bodies this day, and honor the planet and laboring hands that provide our bodies with nourishment and strength.

Summer Service Format: Our summer worship series is broadly theme based, with multiple readings and a short sermon designed to spark conversation. Following the service, please stay, grab a drink, and circle around to go deeper together! In the conversation circle following the service, we will share our joys and sorrows, offer one another our thoughts on the theme for that Sunday, and deepen our connections to one another.
