Why We Chose and Continue to Choose UUCR as Our Faith Home

Dru Wood-Beckwith and Geoff BeckwithWe value UUCR for the multigenerational fellowship in a liberal faith tradition. We believe in the mission of social justice for both our local community and in the wider world. Attending UUCR nourishes our minds and our hearts, from participating in Sunday services to meeting friends at coffee hour. Membership in UUCR has brought meaning and joy to our lives for many years.   -Dru Wood-Beckwith and Geoff Beckwith

As a longtime member of UUCR, I feel this is a place to heal the world, one person and one deed at a time. It gives me great joy to seek an improved world together with those whose faces make me smile. Our staff is doing wonders daily by meeting on Zoom for conversation and online church services. Won’t you join me and travel this path together?   -Ruth Goldberg, member since 1971
Happy 50th Membership Anniversary, Ruth!

We love UUCR because the people are so warm and friendly, and because there are so many different activities in which to be involved. This is a vibrant church with something for everyone. Plus, it is not easy to develop new friendships as adults, but we’ve been able to do that here.   -Nancy Nienhuis and Tammy Zambo

The Unitarian Universalist “faith” meets our spiritual needs because it does not offer rote answers, but requires us to use our heads as well as our hearts in understanding our lives. An equally important reason we make this our church home is that we are eager to have the extraordinary people we have found here as a part of our lives. They are willing to share their spiritual journeys and to genuinely listen to each other. Their different life stories enrich us all, and their desire to always be expanding their world is an inspiration.   -Janet Nussmann and Bob Cary
