Surprised by Joy

The writer CS Lewis wrote, “All Joy reminds. It is never a possession, always a desire for something longer ago or further away or still ‘about to be’.” As UUCR enters a time of reflecting on the past and present, it’s important, too, to hold to the possibilities of what might be around the next corner. We begin this time of Advent – with joy still to come but hope at our fingertips – searching for those precious elements that surprise us, lift us to new heights. Come and explore that which may yet be!
