Service Description: Beloved Community is a term that was first coined in the early days of the 20th century by the philosopher-theologian Josiah Royce, who founded the Fellowship of Reconciliation, an interfaith peace fellowship, whose teachings influenced Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The notion that all can share in earth’s bounty describes a society in which the social product is shared far more equally than it is in today’s world. How do we understand this idea today, here in this post-truth era?
