Support the Kris Kringle Fair

Please see the newsletter for weekly updates.

Silent Auction

Spark some lively bids! Do you have a high-interest item that would create spirited bidding in the Silent Auction? Tickets to a play or sporting event…a fun and sought-after collectible…a special doll…original art…an extraordinary piece of jewelry…glass…a fancy handbag or scarf…? Holiday gift baskets and gift certificates for your professional services?

Please bring your donations early in the week so we can prepare and display items at their best.

Country Store

Can you help,

  • Making jams, jellies, pickles, chutney, hot pepper jelly, salsa, fudge, chocolates, honey, and other kinds of sweet and savory goodies.
  • We have recipes you can use to make mulling spices, scone mixes, dip mixes, autumn rice blend, and fruit crisp mixes.
  • Popular items include cards, soaps, sachets, packaged seeds, catnip mice, dog biscuits, small pet toys, and more.

If you have an idea, please get in touch and we can talk it through with you. You don’t need to be a fancy chef to help us.

We have so much fun at the Country Store, come join us!

Potpourri

The Potpourri department of the Kris Kringle Fair is where we sell our NEW (or like-new) nicer items. And this year it will be in a NEW location, in Austen Transept.

  • Please gather your new or like-new items together to donate to Potpourri during the week prior to the fair, starting at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 9th.
  • Please consider volunteering on the day of the fair in this fun department. All we need is two hours of your time.

Bake Table

The ever-popular BAKE TABLE returns this year! Yay and Yum! We need lots of home-baked items and hope you will consider making one of your special treats or family favorites. If you will be donating, there are a few friendly reminders to make the process go smoothly:

  • Remember to bring an ingredient list with you. This is a Board of Health requirement. Without the ingredients, we can’t sell the item.
  • UUCR is nut-free. NO NUT PRODUCTS in any baked goods. This includes almond flour.
  • We welcome gluten-free goods.
  • All food should be plated/bagged/wrapped and ready to be sold.
  • Please don’t bring anything that must be refrigerated.
  • Drop off your baked goods in Fellowship Hall on Friday, October 14th before 6:00 pm or on Saturday, October 15th from 8:00 – 9:00 am.

We could use a couple more volunteers to staff the table.

Snack Bar

Snack bar is a high energy space and people make good friends working in the kitchen. Especially needed this year is someone to bake the scones.

Attic Treasures

Do you have clean items to donate to the Attic Treasures sale? Volunteers are needed for sorting and pricing any day or evening of the week leading up to the fair. Can you come help for a few hours?

Raffle

Raffle tickets for the fair quilt “Coming Together in Love” , case of wine, and other exciting items will be on sale at Social Hour and during Fair Set Up on October 9th.
