May Day, known in the Celtic calendar as Beltane, is the traditional celebration of birth and the promise of spring. Did you know that it is also celebrated round the world as International Workers’ Day, celebrating the labor of many? We’ll observe both on this Sunday, given that labor is an important part not only of our society, but of childbirth…and there will indeed be a child dedication ceremony during this service!
