The enduring promise of this gathered congregation calls us forward, to tend the burning flame that is at our core…the flame of belief, of love, of promise for the days to come. We are called as people of faith to (as the Shakers once said) put our “hands to work, [and our] hearts to God” – or if not God, then to the hope that lies in an embrace of that which can bring blessing and abundance to our hurting world. On this Sunday we gather to make real our commitment to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading through our pledge of financial support and our pledge to be part of the life of this church. We will tell stories, sing, engage in ritual, and celebrate all that is UUCR. Join us!
