During our spring Pledge Drive members and friends of UUCR are asked to make a financial commitment, a “Pledge,” to support the church financially for the coming year. UUCR receives no outside funding, so it is up to all of us to provide the funds needed to pay our staff a Fair wage, keep our programs running and our community thriving.

UUCR was founded in 1827, and since then, its members and friends have cherished it. We are the current stewards of our church. By generously sharing our gifts of time, talent, and treasure, we ensure our church community stays vibrant and strong.

Pledge Drive Goal

Our pledge drive theme this year is “Guided by Love – Growing in Hope.” Pledges are by far our largest source of income. Your support is needed to help sustain our mission.

Our goal this year is to raise $365,000. To reach that goal, we need ALL our members and friends to make a pledge.

How Much Should I Give?

The UUA’s Suggested Fair Share Contribution Guide (see FAQ) recommends giving a percentage of your income. This allows everyone to make a meaningful and equitable contribution. The Fair Share contribution is between 2% and 6% of your annual income.

Last year’s average annual pledge was $3,700, and the median pledge was $2,500. Our largest pledge was $33,000 and our smallest was $240. Please review your pledge to make sure you are giving your “Fair Share.” Every pledge, large and small, truly makes an impact and is deeply appreciated.

Pledges may be paid in a lump sum at the start of the fiscal year (July 1) or in regular installments over the course of the year.
