Diane Nassif, a UU from Community Church of North Orange and Tully, MA, will present photos and details of her journey to a small mountain village in El Salvador, made early in 2018. She visited with a delegation of UU “sister-city” visitors, some of whom have been visiting this village twice a year for 25 years. She hopes to encourage us to consider the meaning of community and borders in today’s world and to shed some light on the real impact to Salvadorans of the current United States immigration policies. Coffee, crafts made by the women’s sewing collective, and artwork by El Salvador’s national artist, Fernando LLort, will be on display to help make the journey come alive.
