Sources of UU Faith

Sunday service on January 30 is a musical celebration of the sources of our Unitarian Universalist faith. You may visit or revisit this service on YouTube.
Do you know that…
  • Our faith, our Unitarian Universalism, grows out of the imaginations and ideas of many people who came before us?
  • Our faith assures us that life is worth living, that justice is worth seeking, that people are worth loving?
  • And our faith comes from wild dreams of stars and universes and our connection to them!
  • We remember the words and actions of kind and courageous people…
  • We lean into the many stories that people on our planet have told to make meaning of their lives…
  • We are inspired by the love of a spirit so vast that it couldn’t be kept in just one body.
  • We trust our own thoughts and questions and draw on the learning of others to help us know more.
We know now more than ever that we are connected to our blue green home planet and all of her creatures-and we know that when we listen, we are invited to trust and protect the natural systems that she offers to sustain us. Our faith, our Unitarian Universalism draws on many sources-each inspiring and supporting us as we live to be human upon this world. We hope you will listen in on Sunday to hear these sources of ideas and inspiration lifted up in word and with music.
