“A Truer Way”

As our nation again performs the annual myth of Thanksgiving, let’s find a truer way to talk about history and heritage. Let’s be inspired by gratitude practices that really make a difference in a life. Crafted with people of all ages in mind, this service will include the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading’s Bread Communion tradition, beautiful music, important stories, inspiring words and a chance to deepen in faith.
Bio: Melissa Carvill Ziemer is the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association’s Director of Ministries and Programs and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She is also a Minister Affiliated with First Parish, in Northfield, MA, a small, rural, lay-led congregation. Melissa came to the UUMA after more than a decade as the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent, in Kent, OH. She is married to Rev. Evin Carvill Ziemer (who serves on the UUA’s Congregational Life staff). They live in Easthampton, MA with two children, two cats and one dog, which means there are not very many dull moments.
