“How the Universe Bends Toward Justice” with Rev. Ken Reeves

In 1858, Theodore Parker affirmed that the universe “bends toward justice.”  Knowing more about the universe now than we did in 1858, we can explain that the universe bends toward justice because it trends toward complexity, which requires cooperation, which results in justice.  When we participate in a community, we engage in the complexity, cooperation, and justice the universe has been bending toward since the big bang.

 

Bio: The Rev. Ken Reeves is a graduate of the Starr King School for the Ministry, and has served congregations in Ohio and Delaware. He has also earned a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He is currently a consulting psychologist and Clinical Director of the Center for Career Development and Ministry. He is also the author of: The Whole Church, Congregational Leadership Guided by Systems Theory.
