“Already Broken, Already Whole”

Service Led By Returning Guest Minister, Rev. Fred Small
A glass vase will one day shatter. If we accept it as “already broken,” Buddhists advise, we may appreciate it more while it is whole. In this sense, everything is already broken: our bodies, our relationships, our government, our planet. But at the soul level we are also “already whole”—innocent, intact, and everything we need to be at this moment.

For this morning’s Time for All Ages we’ll be singing “Everything Possible,” Rev. Fred Small’s lullaby of unconditional love and inclusion. A picture book edition of Fred’s song will be available for sale after the service and Fred will be glad to inscribe your copy.
