This Sunday’s sermon will be led by Rev. Linda Goodman and centers on the witness of Julian of Norwich, who lived through a time of profound suffering. There was a 100 year war being waged between England and France, causing death, destruction and famine. A pandemic of bubonic plague passed through her city in repeating waves and she became ill to the point of nearly dying herself. Yet in her suffering came an understanding that God is love. No matter how bleak things may appear, “all manner of things will be well.”
Bio: Rev. Linda is an ordained interfaith minister. Her spiritual path meandered through many faith traditions, and she enjoyed 30 years as an active Unitarian Universalist, offering music and lay-led worship services. Most recently she has served as Presiding Minister, spiritual mentor, and music minister at the Tree of Life Interfaith Temple in Amherst, NH. Now retired from full-time ministry, she is more actively enjoying a circuit of guest ministry at UU churches throughout New England.
