Are you planning an important event such as a wedding, reception, reunion, or family party? Would you like space for a public fair, business meeting, exercise class, dance class, workshop, community meetings, or support group? The Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading–located near Rt. 128 and Rt. 93 exits and convenient to many surrounding communities–has varied and attractive spaces for rent.
All spaces are accessible. All spaces are available to meet short- or long-term needs. Parking is available in our lot and on the street.
UUCR is a nut-free facility, please ask about our food allergen policy.

Sanctuary
Our beautiful sanctuary can seat 208 people. It is equipped with a grand piano, a Clavinova, and a state-of-the-art sound system. It is available for weddings, artistic performances, child dedications, funerals or memorial services, and other similar events.
Unitarian Universalists draw on wisdom from many faith traditions, reflected by the symbols in our sanctuary–an appropriate setting for interfaith and multi-denominational events.

Fellowship Hall
Fellowship Hall (built in 2006) is a beautiful air-conditioned hall with a glass-roofed atrium suitable for receptions, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, family parties, reunions, performances, instrument recitals, dances, business meetings, seminars, performances, fundraisers, and displays. This modern room, lined with windows, is light and airy during the day and mood-filled during evening hours. The sliding glass wall between the hall and the atrium allows various configurations to meet your space needs. Fellowship Hall accommodates 125 people, 100 if for a sit-down dinner. We have both round and rectangular tables to offer. Sound equipment is available.
Kitchen
A full-service kitchen (also built in 2006), adjacent and open to Fellowship Hall, is available separately or with another space. At 380 square feet, it has generous work areas, ServSafe task areas, and ample commercial equipment for your caterer to prepare and serve your meal. A door at the rear of the building provides delivery access to the kitchen.
Community Hall
The 1500-square-foot Community Hall, refurbished in 2006, is a large, open space with a stage at one end. It is especially suited to dance classes, exercise groups, karate classes, club or community meetings, special interest classes, children’s birthday parties, and the like. A kitchenette, including microwave oven and full refrigerator, allows you to serve simple refreshments at your gathering. Community Hall is located below the Sanctuary, accessible by stairwell and lift. It has a capacity of 99.
Loring House
Loring House, the gray Victorian building to one side of the church, has cozy and welcoming rooms available for rent. The rooms are suitable for club or small-group meetings, tutoring, counseling, and after-school enrichment classes. Various rooms can accommodate from a few to 25 people. Four rooms are available, making Loring House an ideal conference or workshop setting. First-floor amenities are a large-screen monitor, a kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, and meeting table. An elevator in the building and a ramped rear entrance make both levels accessible by wheelchair.
