Sunday brings us several ways to connect with friends of all ages. We are offering a Children’s Sunday Gathering at 9:15 via Zoom, the first of such monthly gatherings beginning this week. Children will have a chance to see Rev. Hank, Katie, Sally and each other online. We’ll light a chalice, check in from our homes and we’ll talk about Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior and his invitation to all of us – to serve our families and our communities. And then we’ll learn about our ‘all church’ KIND NOTES project and how we can reach out to friends at UUCR.
We’ll meet as a group once a month and invite families into shared social and service projects. We’ll offer age differentiated meetings in the weeks that follow to connect, reconnect and share our good work. We chose 9:15 am because that was our traditional RE time in years past, and we hope it may work for your household on a Sunday morning before worship begins on YouTube at 10:00 am. You will find Zoom links for Children & Youth offerings in family email, and some on our UUCR Member Bulletin Board on Facebook, in the hour before meeting time.
We miss you, we love you and we hope to see you somewhere this Sunday as we move forward together:
- Children’s Sunday Gathering at 9:15 am
- Sunday Service at 10:00 am
- Youth Group for Grades 7-10 at 6:30 pm
- Young Adults (18+) at 8:00 pm
Family Support for Beloved Family/Caregivers of Young People begins this week:
Join UUCR staff and friends to reflect on the challenges of parenting/caregiving through these unprecedented times. We meet Wednesday, January 20th at 7:30 pm, please come to share thoughts, silence and participate in any way that works for you. And save these dates too: February 3rd, March 3rd, March 31st and May 5th!
