Lifespan Religious Education

Our church year comes to a traditional close this weekend with our annual Flower Communion service. Rev. Hank has detailed instructions for how you might join our ritual – dropping off flowers at UUCR, and returning to receive a flower later!
Following this online year of programming we are so excited to offer some opportunities to meet with children and youth on campus this summer and we hope you might find an activity that works for your children/teens. At this writing we hope to regather in Religious Education spaces this fall. I will be on campus this summer and meeting with families to share some exciting program options that include UU spirituality, Anti-Racism training for kids and their adults and Our Whole Lives. I hope to see you and your loved ones soon, either across a screen or a table or outside in a garden. Thank you for the many ways you help us to remain connected.
Wishing all a safe, restful, playful summer.

Our church year will begin in September with Water Communion, Covenant Sunday and Chalice Sunday! We are planning our OWL, Coming of Age and Youth Groups, too. To help plan our activities we are encouraging early registration. Kindly contact the Director of Lifespan RE, at [email protected] for details and registration.
UUCR is offering Kids Connection for children through Grade 6! We’ll meet on campus for fun, meaningful activities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Camp is offered one week in June and one week in July. Led by staff and adult and youth volunteers, our meetings are 90 minutes in length and will include ‘Connection Check-Ins,’ art, games and fun in our yards and gardens. Kindly contact the Director of Lifespan RE, at [email protected] for details and registration (registration closes this Tuesday, June 22nd.)

We welcome our Youth (Grades 7-10) to Sunday afternoon Youth Group outdoors at UUCR on June 27th! We’ll meet outside from 12:30-2:00 pm, following the guidance of our regathering team and best practices provided in our reopening plans. As the first RE group on campus, our Youth will lead the way as we determine where and how we play games safely and where we find the best shelter from sun and rain. It will be so good to gather on campus once again! Kindly contact the Director of Lifespan RE, at [email protected] for details and registration
