UUCR affirms and promotes the participation of all persons, of all abilities.

To ensure ease of participation, a UUCR task force was created in 2020 to determine if further steps were needed beyond those taken in prior years. As a result of the task force recommendations, a standing Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry Team was formed. This committee is studying ways to achieve the following initial goals, which they will then implement:

• Alleviate crowded conditions at after-church Social Hour
• Provide assistance during services
• Improve physical accessibility on the church campus
• Enhance communication/education within the congregation
• Establish a welcoming virtual church
• Seek UUA Accessibility Inclusion Ministry (AIM) program certification

To impact the broader community, the Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry Team (AIM Team) in conjunction with other social justice committees at UUCR will recommend ways we can support and motivate respectful interactions everywhere among people of all abilities.
