Conversations to Share your Hopes for Our Church

Dear UUCR,

Your Strategic Planning Committee and the Committee on Ministry invite you to participate in a Conversation Circle! These Circles are part of the “Reengaging for our Future” program, described in the recent email from the Governing Board. And, they begin on Sunday!

The purpose of these Circles is to provide members and friends of the UUCR with the opportunity to tell us about your hopes and dreams for the future of the church and for our next minister. We’ll meet over Zoom in groups of 6-8 to discuss several questions (see below). The outcomes of these Circles will provide information for the search for our next minister and for our new strategic plan.

Please join us! These will be relaxed, interesting, and informative conversations. The questions we’ll talk about together are:

  1.       What has kept you at UUCR, or led you to leave?
  2.       What means the most to you about Unitarian Universalism?
  3.       What would make your experience at UUCR better?
  4.       What do you yearn for now and in the future?
  5.       What responsibilities are most important for our next minister, both in church and in the wider community?
  6.       Where would you like to see the church in 3-5 years?

After we conduct the Circles we will discern common themes and share them with you, giving you a chance to vote on those that you feel are most important. We will share the final outcome of our work with all of you. Thank you in advance for participating!
