Stewardship Opportunities
The groups below focus specially on stewardship of UUCR, and each also fosters heartfelt connections. Many activities welcome both youth and adults. For more information
please contact our Member Services & Volunteer Coordinator.
Archives Committee The Archives Committee collects, preserves, and makes available items related to the history of the church. The committee can research questions about the UUCR’s rich tradition going back to 1827.
Bylaw Committee This committee is responsible for maintaining our bylaws, the set of rules that guides our church operations and activities.
Finance Council includes the Treasurer, the Investment Committee, the Endowment Committee, Fundraising Committee, and Pledge Drive Team. Each oversees a budgetary or financial operation of the church and tends to its financial health.
Personnel Committee supports our staff, Governing Board, and membership by providing consistent and fair definition and implementation of personnel policies.
Property and Grounds Committee seeks to keep our church home — our 1924 church building, grounds, and the Sawyer and Loring Houses — well maintained for members and all who wish to visit. In consultation with the Facilities Manager, they submit budget proposals, oversee maintenance and repair, and identify and prioritize capital projects. Our ad hoc Grounds Team supports the work of the Property and Grounds Committee by tending to the green, living areas of our church campus.
Safe Congregation Committee promotes a physically, interpersonally, and emotionally safe environment that is supportive of personal and spiritual growth. Members work to proactively address issues that involve safety in any form.
Worship Technology Team volunteers support our Sunday services and stream them to UUCR’s YouTube channel. They keep us connected, no matter how near or far we are.
