Did you know that UUCR has a newly formed
Adult Religious Education Committee?
Formed in the spring with the blessing and charge from our Governing Board, it was determined that “the Adult RE Committee shall maintain an inventory of all spiritual and justice centered programming for adults. The committee shall regularly study and assess the need for additional programming based on various inputs including the suggestions and requests from professional staff, committees, and congregants. The committee shall prioritize programming based on need and resources available, and work with staff and volunteers to acquire or create, support, and promote programs that align with the UUCR mission and respond to congregational and community needs.”
We welcome Michele Catalano, Tammy Zambo, Tom Mottl and Sarah Keon to this committee, and thank them for their commitment to adult programming. As charged above, this group’s first task will be to ‘inventory’ our current programs and determine where there is interest, passion and need for development of offerings. The Adult RE Committee will also consider congregational responses to last year’s Committee On Ministry (COM) and Governing Board (GB) surveys when determining future opportunities for learning and spiritual growth. Evening Sanctuary – In Person
Wednesdays, September 8th & 22nd from 6:00 – 7:00 pm
On Wednesday Evenings, return to our lovely sanctuary in person for candle lighting and quiet reflection. Registrations will be required to ensure safe gathering. Look for a registration link in our September 2 newsletter.
Personal Covenant Making Workshop – Online
Wednesday, September 15th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm
At church we often talk about ‘being in covenant’ or ‘right relationship’ with one another as we seek to live our values and to be people of good faith. Have you ever considered how you define being in ‘right relationship’ with yourself? Come join UUCR staff and friends and reflect on how you might enter into a personal covenant, with yourself or with a loved one. A registration link will provided in an upcoming newsletter.
Chalice Making Workshop – In Person
Sunday, September 26th from 12:30 – 2:00 pm
