Welcoming Congregation
UUCR is recognized by the Unitarian Universalist Association as a Welcoming Congregation. Welcoming Congregations work to ensure that people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer are full members of our faith community. The UUCR Welcoming Congregation and PFLAG Committees help deepen the channels of learning and understanding, so that the church will be inclusive at every level of congregational life—in worship, in programs, and on social occasions.
Green Sanctuary
UUCR is an accredited Unitarian Universalist Association Green Sanctuary—a formal recognition of a congregation’s service and dedication to the Earth. Accreditation involves two to three years of engaged study and prescribed actions culminating in a culture that is aligned with environmentally aware faith and practices. The UUCR Green Sanctuary Committee helps us continue our awareness and commitment as a church and in the greater community.
Accessibility and Inclusion
The UUCR congregation is committed to welcoming, embracing, integrating, and supporting people with disabilities and their families into our religious community. We have applied for and are awaiting Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry certification from EqUUal Access in partnership with the Unitarian Universalist Association. The UUCR Accessibility Committee helps us remain adaptable and dynamic in creating spaces where each person can bring the fullness of their lived experience.
