Mother’s Day Walk for Peace

Building Together for Generation Peace
Sunday, May 8th at 8:00 am
Town Field Park in Dorchester
The Mother’s Day Walk for Peace (MDW4P) is a beloved 26-year-long Boston tradition and celebration of our potential to create more peaceful communities. It is the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s (LDBPI) largest fundraising event to grow and sustain our services, advocacy, and training. Their goal is to equip survivors with the tools, resources and opportunities that they need to become architects of their own healing and advocates for social change. UUCR has supported the Walk and the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute for many years.
After two years of connecting virtually, we are excited to be walking in person again! The walk is on Sunday, May 8th at 8:00 am at Town Field Park in Dorchester. Walk with us as we honor the lives of loved ones who have been murdered and build together for Generation Peace. Join us on Mother’s Day to demand dignity and compassion for all families impacted by murder.
For those that can’t make it in person, they will have a virtual broadcast that you can tune into on Sunday, Mother’s Day, May 8th details will be posted soon.
Please see the newsletter to register to walk with fellow UUCR congregants and we will help arrange details for meeting up and participating together!
