UU the Vote
… mobilizing around key ballot initiatives

Through UU the Vote, a non-partisan initiative of the Unitarian Universalist Association, UUs mobilize for electoral justice at all levels. Engaging our neighbors, educating our communities, mobilizing voters, and rallying around key ballot questions, we seek to create a future defined by love, justice, and faith.
Directly or indirectly, issues so many of us care deeply about—climate change, LGBTQ rights, immigration, racial justice, and more—were on the ballot in 2020. At UUCR, in the 2020 election season we
- wrote letters and postcards to encourage voter registration
- made phone calls to engage in spiritually grounded, values-based issue conversations with other voters in our communities
- texted in support of census participation and to counter voter suppression
The need to take action lasts long after an election is over. We continue to assess how we can show up authentically and generously…in the long term.
We’d love for you to join us at any level of involvement. Please contact our Member Services & Volunteer Coordinator for more information.
