Share: We generously share our time, talents, and resources to build our spiritual community.
Communicate: We communicate directly – with honesty, care, and respect – and listen with attention, patience, and an open mind.
Support: We support one another through our diverse spiritual journeys in times of joy and struggle.
Embrace: We embrace our differing perspectives, beliefs, and cultures.
Forgive: We forgive ourselves and each other when we fall short of these commitments and begin again with good will, presuming the best intentions.
The Seven Unitarian Universalist Principles
UUCR, a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenants to affirm and promote:
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person
- Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
- The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregation and in society at large
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
