Love is a Verb is the Social Justice Team at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading.

Launched at the end of 2024, this initiative — more than a traditional committee — provides an opportunity for all church members, regardless of age, to engage in social justice activities that fit into the busy and complex lives of today’s families. It builds on decades of social justice work at UUCR, including advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights as a Welcoming Congregation, climate action as a Green Sanctuary, support for Black Lives Matter, and ongoing efforts to stand with immigrants, people who are unhoused, and those who are incarcerated.
