This Week in Religious Education at UUCR
During the summer months children and youth are invited to attend Summer Worship Services with their families/loved ones. Worship begins at 10 am and is held either in our sanctuary, or in Fellowship Hall, depending on the need for cooler temps. (Fellowship Hall offers air conditioning)
Our Ministerial Intern Liz Weber offered a ‘Blessing of the Animals’ in our sanctuary on July 30th!
We look forward to welcoming Reverend Hank in mid-August and he will preach on Sunday August 20, all are invited!
Our new church year officially begins on Sunday September 10th at 10:00am when we gather for ‘Water Communion’-a multigenerational worship service. All are invited to bring samples of water that symbolizes our summer journeys!
Terry and Stacey Hill will return to our Nursery for their 4th year at UUCR! Children may be delivered to the Sawyer building ten minutes prior to the start of worship beginning Sunday September 10th!
Our Religious Education programming resumes on Sunday September 17th, 2017.
All children are invited to begin worship that day with their families at 9:15am and will leave for their first classes after the ‘Commissioning of Teachers’. The first classes of the year will observe ‘Covenant Sunday’ across the ages as leaders guide children to create classroom Covenants-identifying our willingness to be intentional in our relationships with one another. Programming for Youth in Grades 7-12 will be offered on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
