This Week in Religious Education at UUCR
WE ARE THE CHURCH OF THE OPEN MIND, THE LOVING HEART AND HELPING HANDS
Thank you to our children (grades 5-6) and youth (SHYP) and adults for sharing such warm hospitality during both F’ship Hours last Sunday! And thank you to youth and friends for all ages who shared questions and conversations at the COA Café, thank you for being part of this year’s ‘Coming of Age’ journey!
Sunday February 18, 2018
This week children will begin worship in the sanctuary and stay for the opportunity to light silent candles during our first service (9:15am). They will then leave for a group activity in Fellowship Hall –we are making ‘Identity Boxes’-our ‘Make a Difference Sunday’ activity for February.
There are no evening classes this weekend.
Our Nursery will be open and children may be delivered before both worship services.
Families are reminded to see email for details regarding all Sunday classes and activities.
Our Sunday morning classrooms are warm and welcoming, and most are open to visitors*. If you know that your child will visit, we encourage you to contact Sally Liebermann (Director of Lifespan Religious Education) at dlre.uureading (at) gmail (dot)com so that we are ready to welcome your family. We do offer occasional classes that require prior attendance and registration. When visiting kindly complete a Family Visitor Card (available from ushers) and provide important information that will allow us to safely include your children in our activities. You may deliver the card to staff or classroom leaders when accompanying your child to class.
*During January, February and March our Grades 1 & 2 class will not recieve visitors however children who do visit (in that age group) will be welcome in other classrooms.
This page will be updated each week.
Please remember to check your enews for these, and other, announcements regarding congregational life and events!
