This Week in Religious Education at UUCR
Sunday October 15, 2017
Our fall Congregational Meeting begins at 12:30pm and childcare is provided. Parents are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up-thank you!
Terry & Stacey Hill will open our Nursery 10 minutes prior to worship for both services this week (915 & 11:00am).
Children begin church in the sanctuary with their families and will leave after ‘A Time For All Ages’ with their classroom leaders.
It’s ‘Make a Difference Sunday’! Who we are makes a difference in our world! This month our ‘Make a Difference’ gathering will focus on identity. All are invited to join Sally in Fellowship Hall after our first service. Together we’ll start to share our stories- reflecting on what makes us unique and positively powerful!
It’s also Fair Season! Let’s take a photo for the newspaper to announce the Kris Kringle Fair! Children are invited to meet in front of the church sign on the front lawn after our classes (if weather allows and parents grant permission!). Then come back to our Make a Difference station in Fellowship Hall!
Coming of Age and Bulding Bridges classes resume this Sunday evening. Families are reminded to check email for details.
Most of our morning classrooms are open and welcoming to visitors. If you know that your child will visit, we encourage you to contact Sally Liebermann (Director of Lifespan Religious Education) at dlre.uureading (at) gmail (dot)com so that we are ready to welcome your family. We do offer occasional classes that require prior Parent Orientation before children attend- please contact Sally for details. When visiting kindly complete a Family Visitor Card (available from ushers) and provide important information that will allow us to safely include your children in our activities. You may deliver the card to staff or classroom leaders when accompanying your child to class.
This page will be updated each week.
Please remember to check your enews for these, and other, announcements regarding congregational life and events!
