Green Sanctuary Team
The Green Sanctuary Team works to support the full expression of the Unitarian Universalist’s Seventh Principle: to “affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.” Current efforts are focused on advancing the church’s candidacy to become a certified “Green Sanctuary,” which means we have addressed sustainability issues on a congregational as well as personal level. With wide congregational support, our team works to develop and implement programs across a range of areas, including justice and sustainable living. Ongoing activities and one-time events support environmental awareness at the level of the individual, the church community, and the larger community.
