Membership Summary
Our Mission
The Membership Team welcomes and supports all newcomers, prospective
members, and current members and friends who wish to engage in our
UUCR community.
We assist our congregation in building and maintaining
a welcoming, inclusive and dynamic community.
Many activities bring us together in community and we believe our church offers something for everyone through worship services, shared ministry, faith development, social outreach and opportunities for fellowship and enrichment. Our team is happy to assist anyone who would like to learn more about these opportunities to make connections. We strive to accomplish our mission by:
- Welcoming and educating visitors and potential new members, providing support to those seeking a spiritual home
- Facilitating the inclusion of newcomers into active participation in the congregation
- Assisting with education classes for newcomers, such as the Introduction to Unitarian Universalism/UU Basics Class
- Celebrating new members
- Checking in with all to see if their experiences are meeting their expectations.
The Membership Team is a group of volunteers who work closely with the Minister and the Coordinator of Member Service & Volunteers. We are happy to assist you! Our team is always open to new members as well, so please consider joining us.
